Form the plural by adding S to the singular noun.

Or when the word ends in:

. S / SS / CH / SH / X adds ES: church - churches /box - boxes / glass - glasses

. Y preceded by a consonant, change the Y to I and add ES: Secretary – secretaries

. O preceded by a consonant, add ES: potato – potatoes

. F or FE , in most cases change the F or FE to V and add ES: wife – wives / leaf – leaves

. IRREGULAR PLURALS: man – men / woman – women / foot – feet / tooth – teeth /  

  Child – children.
